Continue public education program for informing residents of the hazards associated with severe weather.
Develop and implement a communications plan between the surrounding counties, regional and state government agencies during and after hazard events.
Mitigate structures within respective flood areas.
Provide back-up generators for critical facilites, including shelters and EOC, which need to maintain continuous power to protect human health and life.
Maintain the Volunteer Reception Center for coordinating volunteers who are willing to help with a severe weather incident.
Provide designated locations/facilities to house displaced animals after hazard events.

Address wellhead contamination - there is a need of an underground pipe to run from Henderson Lake to the Mad River to alleviate the over topping of lake & impacting farm fields (over the aquifer).
Address the need for a levy or dike on the southeast corner of the lime sludge pond (the half white/half teal lake directly west of Henderson Lake) to hold back the bank erosion where flood water is filling the pond, dropping silt and reducing capacity of the pond, as well as flooding the farm fields & adjacent business park on Baker Road.
Address roadway flooding across State Route 54 North and Champaign Street.
Address the aging storm drain (catch basins & drain tile) infrastructures. (Especially problematic along Jackson Street)
