Welcome to Motorcycle Ohio presented by Shawnee State University. Class is held within the Kricker Innovation Hub (KIH), Room 111 located at 221 Chillicothe Street in Portsmouth, Ohio. Parking is available on the street or directly behind the building. Participants should not park in the Smith Pharmacy lot. Participants should enter through the front doors facing Chillicothe Street. The back entrance remains locked. Vending machines and restrooms are available on the first floor of the Kricker Innovation Hub. The riding/range portion will be held in Lot A7 at 140 Waller Street, Portsmouth, Ohio adjacent to the Morris University Center (MUC) and soccer field. The cafeteria, located in the Morris University Center, is open daily for lunch. It is an all you can eat buffet for $8.50. Restrooms are available in the MUC. Arrive 15-20 minutes prior to the scheduled start time for the range and class. Anyone not present on time will be removed from the class and forfeit their registration fee. NO REGISTRATION REFUNDS ARE PROVIDED. Sessions include classroom and motorcycle instruction. Students must provide and wear the following clothing/gear for all motorcycle sessions. 1. Long pants, preferably jeans, no holes 2. Long sleeve shirt or jacket, no holes, must cover the wrists 3. Full-finger gloves, no holes 4. Eye protection - Prescription glasses, sunglasses, etc. 5. Sturdy boots that completely cover and protect the ankle (low or no heel) 6. Helmet (DOT Approved) Please note: Loaner helmets are available; however, you are strongly encouraged to bring your own helmet (DOT Approved in good condition) Students without the required clothing and gear will be removed from the class. Motorcycles are provided for the range portion of the course.
