If you want to be in the next class..... But classes are filled:
Try being a "Walk-In". Grantees do not have a standby list.
All students (minor and adults) need to complete a registration form provided by
the instructor, and pay the non-refundable registration fee. This payment can be
paid by check/money order or credit/debit card - American Express, Discover, MasterCard
NO cash accepted.
If a student registered for a later class gets in through the lottery, the confirmation
waiver for the class that has yet to happen must be presented to show proof of payment
or you must pay again.
Any student who has missed a class and is getting into a class through the walk-in
process must pay again.
Motorcycle Ohio encourages walk-in students to audit the class (at no charge) with
the possibility of a no-show on the first morning of the range exercises. Full course
payment must be paid prior to the riding portion of the course. The walk-in process
does not guarantee a student getting into the class.
There are available seats for this class.
Please select the amount of students that will be reserving seats for this class from the drop down list below.
The motorcycle TIPIC is issued upon the successful completion of the vision and written tests. Study
and learn all material in the Digest of Ohio Motor Vehicle Laws and Motorcycle Operators Manual. These
documents may be downloaded at http://www.bmv.ohio.gov
or picked up at a Driver Examination Station (DX). Return to the DX and pass the written and vision tests.
Once the TIPIC is issued, you will be able to ride a motorcycle or scooter but with restrictions:
* If you have a condition that might affect your driving, the examiner will explain the steps you have to
take and provide you with a medical packet which must be filled out by your doctor.
A motorcycle endorsement (M) is issued when you successfully pass an on-cycle maneuverability test.
This is done at the Driver Examination Station (DX). Within 60 days of successfully passing a MSF Basic
Rider or Returning Rider Class in Ohio, you may have a motorcycle endorsement (M) added to your license.
For those taking an MSF Basic Rider or Returning Rider Class outside Ohio, you must email your request
for endorsement to MOGen@dps.ohio.gov
