The Cedar Grove neighborhood, consisting of 215 homes, is routinely blocked from ingress/egress at its three grade crossings of the Norfolk Southern mainline. In need of Fire/EMS, or in need of evacuation due to derailment and release of hazardous materials, the neighborhood could be completely cut off. The risk of a mass-casualty event is unnecessarily high. |
