"Salvage motor vehicle" means any motor vehicle, which is in a wrecked, dismantled, or worn out condition, or unfit for operation as a motor vehicle. (ORC 4738.01)

No person is to operate on the highways in this state a salvage motor vehicle, and the title is evidenced by a salvage certificate of title, except to deliver the motor vehicle pursuant to an appointment for an inspection under this section. (ORC 4505.11)

A motor vehicle with a certificate of title to which has been marked "FOR DESTRUCTION" and surrendered to a clerk of courts title office should not be used for anything except parts and scrap metal. (ORC 4505.11)
